jesus christ was born of holy spirit, and is the son of god; the almighty.. the seed of jesus christ was placed in the womb of his earlthy mother to mature.. jesus christ was a perfect man, therrfore no impurities of imperfection passed on to jesus christ.. it is written; a bad tree cannot produce good fruit, therefore jesus christ was soley of god, and not of mary.. i am the son of man, who am i ?.
the son of man is none other then the faithful and discreet slave.......of human decent.. he will pierce the heart of satan the devil in due season.......amen.
the final blow will come from "god the almighty" as the wicked are devoured before the eyes of humankind........ we are in the final hour of human existance as we know it.
Satanus is wrong again... as usual.
Don is the father. Peter DeLuise is the son. Peter starred in 21 Jump Street and was the producer on Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. He is also scheduled to direct at least two episodes of Stargate Universe.
Don appeared in the SG1 episode "Urgo" which Peter directed.
i told the elder doing the pre-baptism stuff that i didn't really want to get baptized.. at the ass-embly, i didn't say the baptismal vows.
just stood there.
the attendant was mouthing, "say it", to me, or something like that, but i didn't.. when i got to the tank, the first time the dude dunked me without warning.
Was Holy Spirit pushing you back up?
i know paul said they were to be totally silent at meetings and jw's found a way to throw out the idea.....but where do all these weird rules for the ladies actually come from.....most are not in print but they are just an accepted idea?
all elders just seem to know it and do sisters ever ask to do something only the guys do?.
they can clean toilets, but not carry a clean mic?......nice.......they can pull weeds all day in the kh flower bed, but cant hand out territories or literature?.....but they can work full time at bethel in even special fields like law and medical field........and do all kinds of major work at quickbuilds and assembly halls........ also......tongues of fire hit the sistas in the upper room filled with 120.....they could speak in tongues, heal, and even prophesy!!
Yknot! I NEVER TOUCHED HER INAPPROPRIATELY!!!!!
She was like a daughter to me!
i am not criticizing those who have gone through depression or a traumatic experience.
nor am i criticizing those who were raised as a witness as i was.. but i am curious to know if any of you have seen a person from the territory, not a relative of a witness, no recent tragedies or emotional problems, not a young runaway, not a drug user, but an educated adult who began a study with jehovah's witnesses, and eventually got baptized.. when i was a missionary, i met a gilead couple who had been in their assignment for 19 years.
i asked them about that.
I remember another one that kinda fits the topic. She was 25, no JW family, smart, attending community college part time while working at McDonalds as a manger. The company really liked her and the fact that she was getting a basic education. They offered her an opportunity to go out of state for a few weeks for management training. She would then be groomed to be a regional manager.
She asked the elders for their advice. They discouraged pursuing a career since the end was so close. How much better would it be to pioneer they said. She heeded their counsel and stopped going to college, reduced her work hours by stepping down as manger, turned down the training and started pioneering. The elders were very pleased with themselves. They would often point to her as a fine example for the other young sisters.
A year later, without much money in the bank, her car broke down. A few days after that her sister was killed leaving her as guardian of a 10yr old girl. She continued to pioneer for a few months, but with no money, no future, and the responsibility of a child she couldn’t take it anymore. She eventually moved, dropped out of the truth and was never heard from again.

Good question, I can’t think of any. I can only think of two that are even close.
One guy in college was baptized when he was 21. He was accepted to Bethel when he turned 25. None of his family was in the truth.
The other was baptized when he was 17. His parents sent him to a deprogramming camp. Me and another brother broke him out though. His parents finally agreed to tolerate his being a JW as long as he went to college.
I can’t remember anyone being highly educated ever joining.
Jehovah likes “humble” people.

ok, so out of boredom and curiosity, i have unleashed the new.
dvd "the wonders of creation reveal god's glory" on the.
unsuspecting public!.
donuthole - it's actually at :40 in video 12.
For those who don't know, the WTS used to teach that Pleiades was the eternal throne of Jehovah.
can someone tell me what the difference is between jim jones convincing 900+ to kill themselves by injesting poison and the governing body convincing 7 million to die should they need blood to save their lives.
i don't get why government doesn't put them both in the same light..
Like JWinprotest said - its hard to say how many really die from not receiving a blood transfusion. Its not a cure for anything, its just a treatment. ie. If you get shot 7 times, did not receiving a blood transfusion kill you?
It pales in comparison to the Catholic Churches condom prohibition in Africa. Over 2 million people a year die of AIDS in Africa. But apprently making Catholic babies is of greater urgency.
All religion kills. By comparison JW's are just amateurs.

recently talked with a brother who had the following experience.. he and wife had been on a trip out of town, and they started rehashing old wrongs, he had mentioned that she wasn't very nice to him lately in fact the last several years.
she wanted to know why he had felt that way.
when he told me that right then and there i mentioned that they or at least he shouldn't have brought up old or current wrongs.
His first mistake was getting out of the car. He brought that one on himself.
